December 10, 2014. Toluca, Mexico – Mexican young people will become agents of change of their families and communities through training given by a new POETA Center in Toluca, Mexico. They will participate in courses about digital skills and entrepreneurship. The project goal is training more than 500 young people between 16 and 30 years from Toluca and its surroundings, Ecatepec and Nezahualcoyotl. It is expected that at least 50% of them obtain economic opportunities, a job or an internship, complementing technical training, specialized or undertake a business through a comprehensive vocational training in the use and appropriation of technology. This center will offer its users career guidance sessions, specialized courses in computers, English, financial literacy, entrepreneurship and job readiness.
POETA Center will be operated by Proacceso Foundation and is promoted by Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) and Microsoft. The educational area will be located within the RIA Center on Paseo Colon, Col. Centro, Toluca, State of Mexico.
